Is ‘Raja Jawa’ protecting his legacy?


 LAST year, the Constitutional Court lowered the age of candidates for president and vice-president to accommodate Gibran Rakabuming Raka – the son of Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

This time round, the same court dismissed a challenge to an age limit that prevents individuals under 30 from running as regional governorship. Jokowi’s youngest son, Kaesang Pengarep, is tipped to run for either governor or deputy in Central Java.
