Pakistan president imposes emergency in province ruled by ex-PM Imran Khan’s party

Oct ⁠11 (Reuters) - Pakistan's ⁠President Asif ‌Ali Zardari imposed a ​state of ⁠emergency ⁠in the northwestern ⁠Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ‌province ⁠ruled by ​jailed ‌former Prime Minister ⁠Imran ​Khan's party, ⁠the president's office ​said on Sunday, effectively ⁠suspending the provincial government.
