US NHC says Isaias has become a hurricane

Oct ⁠7 (Reuters) - The ⁠US National ‌Hurricane Center said in its ​latest advisory ⁠on ⁠Wednesday that Isaias ⁠has strengthened ‌into ⁠a hurricane.

Isaias was ​about ‌460 miles (745 ⁠Km) ​south-southwest of the ⁠mouth of the ​Mississippi river, with maximum ⁠sustained winds of 75 mph (120 ​Km/h).
