AMMAN, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- The number of drug-related crimes in Jordan fell by about 34 percent in 2025 year-on-year, according to the annual report of the National Centre for Human Rights in Jordan.
Jordan recorded 25,776 cases involving drug possession, use, and trafficking in 2025, down from 38,782 cases in 2024, the report showed.
Drug possession and use cases dropped by about 39 percent, while trafficking offenses fell by approximately 22 percent, according to the report.
The centre said the national drug prevention strategy remained active during the year, with the Anti-Narcotics Department advancing awareness, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs to protect youth and society.
