NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim conveyed warm regards from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, to Russian President Vladimir Putin during their bilateral meeting here on Friday (Sept 11).
"Sultan Ibrahim sends his personal regards," Anwar said.
The Prime Minister also reiterated Sultan Ibrahim's invitation to Putin to make a state visit to Malaysia.
"Insya-Allah, this visit will open a new chapter in the increasingly close, mature, and mutually beneficial relationship between Malaysia and Russia," Anwar said.
Sultan Ibrahim, who ascended the federal throne on Jan 31, 2024, has visited Russia three times.
His Majesty made a state visit to Russia in August 2025, followed by a special visit in January 2026 and a visit to Moscow in May for Russia's Victory Day celebrations. – Bernama
