THE HAGUE, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Dutch police confirmed that 34 suspects have been arrested following a fatal shooting in Overasselt, in the eastern Netherlands, early Tuesday morning. The incident left one person dead and two police officers injured.

According to police, the suspects were apprehended at multiple locations in the wider area around Overasselt. Further arrests have not been ruled out.

Police said they received an initial report of a suspicious situation at around 4:00 a.m. (0200 GMT). A large group of people wearing balaclavas was reportedly seen at the residence.
