UK's Andy Burnham confirmed as new Labour Party leader

LONDON, ⁠July ⁠17 (Reuters) - Andy ‌Burnham was confirmed as ​the ⁠new leader ⁠of Britain's ⁠governing ‌Labour ⁠Party on ​Friday, ‌replacing Keir ⁠Starmer.

Burnham ​will formally ⁠become prime ​minister on Monday.
