Uzbekistan sees over 6.5 mln foreign tourists in H1


TASHKENT, July 14 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan welcomed more than 6.5 million foreign tourists in the first half of this year, up 24.9 percent from a year earlier, according to the country's National Statistics Committee.

The number increased by 1.3 million compared with the same period in 2025, the committee said Tuesday.

Most tourists came from neighboring countries. Kyrgyzstan topped the list with nearly 1.9 million visitors, followed by Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
