Patient tested for suspected Ebola virus at Britain's hospital: report

LONDON, June 30 (Xinhua) -- A patient is being tested for suspected Ebola virus at a Glasgow hospital, the BBC reported on Tuesday.

The patient was admitted into the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Tuesday, and tests are being carried out to confirm whether the individual has contracted the disease, according to the BBC report.

If confirmed, it would be the first case in Britain since the outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda in May, the report said.
