Lufthansa 787 jet suffers front-wheel collapse at Frankfurt gate


BERLIN, June ⁠4 (Reuters) - A Boeing 787 ⁠jetliner operated by Lufthansa experienced ‌a nose-wheel collapse at Frankfurt airport's apron early Thursday afternoon, an airport ​spokesperson said, adding ⁠details of the ⁠incident were still being assessed.

Lufthansa ⁠confirmed the ‌incident. It did not give further ⁠details.

• The spokesperson of Fraport, which ​operates ‌Germany's largest hub, said ⁠the incident ​occurred at the apron at around 12:45 p.m. (1045 GMT)

• ⁠Details were being investigated, ​including whether anyone was injured, she added

• Bloomberg News reported there ⁠were no passengers aboard at the time

• The 787 model, a two-engined widebody airplane ​used by ⁠Lufthansa mainly on long-haul routes, ​is a relatively ‌new addition to the ​carrier's fleet
