U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, May 25 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar softened in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, dropped 0.27 percent to 98.975 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).
