The organized sector, including hotels, boarding houses, sanatoriums and travel agencies, received 3.57 million vacationers in 2025, a 50.3 percent increase from the previous year. The unorganized sector, including guest houses, rental housing offered by local residents, and private accommodation, received 1.73 million tourists, up 36.2 percent year on year, reported the committee.
In the Issyk-Kul region, one of the country's main tourist destinations, the number of vacationers increased by 32.1 percent, from 1.99 million to 2.63 million.
The country's tourism infrastructure has continued to expand. In 2025, Kyrgyzstan had 842 recreation and tourism organizations, up 9.8 percent from 2024. In the Issyk-Kul region, the number of guest houses increased from 2,013 to 2,316, while the number of households hosting tourists rose from 4,866 to 6,330.
The report attributes the growth of the tourism industry to improved international promotion, expanding infrastructure for ecotourism and mountain adventures, and seamless regional travel options.
