10 missing as vehicle plunges into river in south China


NANNING, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Ten people are missing after a car fell into a river in Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, according to local authorities.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. Friday. The vehicle was carrying 15 people, five of whom survived.

Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
