PARIS, May 14 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and two others injured in a shooting in the western French city of Nantes on Thursday evening, French daily Le Parisien reported.

According to Le Parisien, the incident occurred at around 8 p.m. local time (1800 GMT) in the Port-Boyer neighborhood. A 14-year-old teenager was killed, while the two injured were transported to a hospital, the report cited a police officer as saying.

The perpetrators have fled the scene and remain at large, the report said.

The district has been plagued by deadly shootings linked to drug trafficking since late April, Le Parisien reported, citing sources close to the investigation. The latest shooting marked the 26th of this kind in Nantes since the beginning of this year.
