Urgent: Initially positive hantavirus PCR test confirmed among MV Hondius evacuees


MADRID, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Spain found one preliminary positive hantavirus case by PCR test among evacuees from the MV Hondius cruise ship.

Spanish health authorities said the case involves one of the 14 Spanish evacuees transferred from the vessel. The infected individual is currently under medical monitoring and preventive isolation at Madrid's Gomez Ulla hospital while health authorities monitor the remaining contacts from the same group.
