Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, May 8 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for June delivery gained 61 cents, or 0.64 percent, to settle at 95.42 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for July delivery increased by 1.23 dollars, or 1.23 percent, to settle at 101.29 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
