Germany raids suspected members of far-right criminal groups


BERLIN, May ⁠6 (Reuters) - German federal ⁠prosecutors conducted searches on ‌Wednesday at some 50 locations across 12 federal states, ​targeting 36 individuals ⁠suspected of involvement ⁠in two far-right criminal ⁠groups accused ‌of forming nationwide networks.

The ⁠groups, identified as "Jung & Stark" and "Deutsche ​Jugend ‌Voran", which also operates ⁠under the ​alias "Neue Deutsche Welle", are suspected of organizing ⁠violent actions through ​social media and regular gatherings, federal prosecutors said in ⁠a statement.

No arrests were made during the operation which involved the ​participation of ⁠more than 600 federal ​and state ‌police officers, prosecutors ​said.
