Death toll in India boat capsize rises to 15


NEW DELHI, April 13 (Xinhua) -- The death toll in a boat capsize incident in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh has risen to 15, as rescues are searching for the missing, officials said Monday.

The boat capsized on Friday in the river Yamuna near Keshi Ghat in Mathura district.

According to officials, the boat was carrying over 37 people at the time of its capsize. Ten people were declared dead on day one, and 22 people were rescued immediately by the rescuers.
