CSL Roundup: Shenhua secures comeback win, Chongqing continues unbeaten run

BEIJING, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai Shenhua secured a 3-2 comeback win over Tianjin Jinmen Tiger, while newly promoted Chongqing Tonglianglong stunned 10-man Zhejiang FC 1-0 as the fourth round of the Chinese Super League concluded Sunday.

Guilherme Schettine broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, converting a penalty to score Tianjin's first goal of the season after Makhtar Gueye was penalized for handball. Zhu Chenjie leveled for Shenhua just before halftime with a header.

Xadas' powerful strike forced an error from Shenhua goalkeeper Xue Qinghao, allowing Alberto Quiles to tap the ball into an empty net nine minutes into the second half. Rafael Ratao scored the equalizer in the 81st minute before converting a penalty in stoppage time to complete the comeback victory.

Du Yuezheng emerged as Chongqing's hero, coming off the bench to score his first CSL goal in the 72nd minute. The 20-year-old received a precise long pass from Alexandru Cimpanu, went on a surging run and calmly slotted the ball into the far corner.

Minutes from time, Zhejiang midfielder Alexandru Mitrita was shown a straight red card after a VAR review for pulling Li Zhenquan's hair. With the win, Chongqing remained second in the standings with two wins and two draws.

Yaw Yeboah's second-half goal Saturday gave Qingdao Hainiu its first victory of the season in a 1-0 win over Henan FC. Newly promoted Liaoning Tieren beat Beijing Guoan 2-1, while defending champion Shanghai Port secured a 2-1 win over Yunnan Yukun.

Earlier Friday, Brazilian striker Felipe Silva scored a hat trick as Chengdu Rongcheng eased past Qingdao West Coast 5-1 to consolidate its lead at the top of the standings with 10 points from three wins and a draw.

The fifth round will see Shanghai Shenhua host city rival Shanghai Port next Saturday, while Beijing Guoan faces Chengdu Rongcheng at home Sunday.
