KATHMANDU, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The 9th International Women's Trade Expo 2026 kicked off in Lalitpur, Nepal, on Friday.

The three-day expo, inaugurated by Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, brings together women entrepreneurs, businesspersons, and exporters from micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises across Nepal and other countries.

Darshana Shrestha, president of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal, said that the fair is a celebration of women entrepreneurs. "The event also serves as a bridge to take women entrepreneurs and their products to the national as well as international markets," she told Xinhua.

Around 300 women entrepreneurs are exhibiting handicrafts, carpets, handmade paper goods, organic food products, agricultural produce, herbal products, sculptures, jewellery, and decorative items through 140 stalls.
