KABUL, March 25 (Xinhua) -- A passenger plane skidded off the runway while landing at Kabul International Airport on Wednesday afternoon due to technical problems, with no casualties reported, local Afghan media reported.

Sources said the aircraft belongs to the country's only state-owned carrier Ariana Afghan Airlines. The flight had departed from the western Afghan city of Herat.

Neither Ariana Afghan Airlines nor Afghanistan's civil aviation authorities have released additional details about the incident.
