Hundreds evacuated after fire hits luxury Paris hotel

PARIS, March ⁠25 (Reuters) - Around 400 ⁠people were evacuated ‌after a blaze broke out in a five-star hotel ​in Paris on ⁠Wednesday, firefighters ⁠said.

Two members of staff were ⁠slightly ‌injured as they tried ⁠to put out the ​fire ‌which started at around ⁠1020 ​GMT in the basement kitchen of the ⁠Bristol, a hotel ​often used by visiting world leaders close to ⁠the Elysee Palace.

Police closed Faubourg Saint‑Honore street and the fire ​was brought ⁠under control, the capital's ​fire service ‌said.
