German foreign ministry strongly discourages travel to Cuba

BERLIN, March ⁠18 (Reuters) - Germany's foreign ⁠ministry strongly discouraged ‌citizens from going to Cuba due to an ​acute energy crisis ⁠that particularly ⁠limits medical care in ⁠a travel ‌notification sent on ⁠Wednesday.

Flight and hotel options are ​also ‌limited, said the ⁠ministry, and ​further, last-minute restrictions must be expected ⁠at any time.

Cubans ​faced a 29-hour national blackout this week ⁠as U.S. President Donald Trump has escalated his rhetoric against ​the Communist-run ⁠island in addition ​to cutting ‌off oil sales.
