Total remittances to Kyrgyzstan at 3.49 bln USD in 2025


BISHKEK, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Total remittances to Kyrgyzstan in 2025 amounted to 3.49 billion U.S. dollars, the country's central bank said Friday on social media.

The main inflow came from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, totaling 3.29 billion dollars, while 198 million dollars came from non-CIS countries, said the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Russia accounted for the majority of incoming remittances at 3.23 billion dollars, while the United States contributed 107.8 million dollars.

Meanwhile, the outflow of remittances from Kyrgyzstan during the same period amounted to 373.7 million dollars. Of this amount, 340.4 million dollars was sent to CIS countries.

Founded in 1991 as a regional organization for former Soviet republics, the CIS comprises Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Turkmenistan is an associate member.
