Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for April delivery increased by 3.33 U.S. dollars, or 4.67 percent, to settle at 74.56 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for May delivery gained 3.66 dollars, or 4.71 percent, to settle at 81.40 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
