6 die in helicopter crash in Kenya


NAIROBI, Feb. 28 (Xinhua) -- Six people died Saturday evening in northwestern Kenya's Nandi county after a commercial helicopter crashed, local officials said.

The speaker of Kenya's parliament, Moses Wetang'ula, confirmed the death of lawmaker Johana Ng'eno in the accident.

According to local media, the helicopter had attempted an emergency landing before bursting into flames amid foggy weather and poor visibility.
