Bahrain centre servicing US 5th Fleet hit as Iran launches missile, drone attack on Israeli-occupied territory

TEHRAN: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the launch of a major missile and drone attack targeting Israeli-occupied territory in response to recent aggression against Iran, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

According to a statement released by the IRGC’s public relations office, the first wave of the attack has commenced.

The announcement follows airstrikes on areas in central Tehran earlier on Saturday (Feb 28).

IRNA reporters witnessed ongoing attacks and multiple explosions in central and eastern Tehran around noon. Anti-aircraft fire was also heard over the capital city.

Meanwhile, the Bahrain News Agency reported that the service centre affiliated with the US 5th Fleet in Bahrain came under missile attack.- Bernama
