Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices advanced on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery gained 81 cents, or 1.27 percent, to settle at 64.36 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for April delivery went up 99 cents, or 1.45 percent, to settle at 69.04 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
