6 killed in shooting in South Africa's Gauteng province

JOHANNESBURG, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Six people were killed and several others injured in a shooting incident near the town of Meyerton in South Africa's Gauteng province on Tuesday, local police said.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, and a heavy law enforcement presence remains in the area as investigations continue, according to Gauteng police.

Further details were not immediately available, police added.
