Boeing posts Q4 revenue growth

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- U.S. aerospace giant Boeing on Tuesday reported increases in revenue and aircraft deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2025, with quarterly net profit reaching 8.2 billion U.S. dollars and full-year net profit totaling 2.2 billion dollars.

A financial report showed that Boeing's annual revenue in 2025 reached 89.5 billion dollars, while the company delivered 600 commercial airplanes during the year, reflecting the highest annual totals since 2018.

In the fourth quarter, the company posted revenue of 23.9 billion dollars, a year-on-year increase of 57 percent. The company recorded a 9.6-billion-dollar gain on sale associated with closing the Digital Aviation Solutions transaction.

Boeing's commercial airplanes unit generated 11.4 billion dollars in revenue in the quarter, up 139 percent year on year, and delivered 160 commercial aircraft, an increase of 181 percent. Revenue from the global services segment rose 2 percent year on year to 5.2 billion dollars.

"We made significant progress on our recovery in 2025 and have set the foundation to keep our momentum going in the year ahead," said Boeing President and CEO Kelly Ortberg.

He noted that Boeing completed the acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems and the sale of portions of the Digital Aviation Solutions business during the year, adding that the company will remain focused on promoting stable operations, completing development programs and rebuilding trust with stakeholders.

In recent years, safety incidents involving several Boeing aircraft models have had a major impact on the company's operations and financial performance, severely damaging its brand image and market position.

Boeing recorded a full-year net loss of approximately 11.8 billion dollars in 2024.
