Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Jan. 23 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for March delivery gained 1.71 U.S. dollars, or 2.88 percent, to settle at 61.07 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery added 1.82 dollars, or 2.84 percent, to settle at 65.88 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
