Russia's 2025 inflation stands at 5.59 pct

MOSCOW, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Russia's annual inflation rate stood at 5.59 percent by the end of 2025, down from the 9.52 percent recorded in 2024, the country's Ministry of Economic Development announced on Friday.

In the food sector, price growth slowed to 0.43 percent in December, despite a 1.6 percent increase in fruits and vegetables.

Non-food goods increased in price by 0.34 percent in December, up 2.99 percent in annual terms.

Service prices edged up 0.15 percent from November 2025 and climbed 9.3 percent year on year.
