Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery dropped 1.19 U.S. dollars, or 2.04 percent, to settle at 57.13 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery lost 1.06 dollars, or 1.72 percent, to settle at 60.7 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
