Deaths from floods, blizzards in Iran rise to 10


TEHRAN, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people have been killed and two remain missing following floods and blizzards in several Iranian provinces over the past four days, said the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) on Wednesday.

In a statement published on its website, the IRCS said the victims were from the provinces of West Azarbaijan, North Khorasan, Khuzestan, Kurdestan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. Rescuers were searching for the two missing individuals in the provinces of Khuzestan and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.
