MOSCOW, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Russia is in need of some 44,000 specialized professionals in the drone sector, with more than 19,000 personnel trained over the past two years, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade said Friday.

To meet industry demand and attract highly skilled drone operators, the government has authorized citizens without relevant formal education to obtain civilian qualification certificates for related roles, the ministry said.

The ministry pointed out that the efforts of industrial enterprises, small tech firms, as well as civilian inventors and developers are being integrated to jointly advance the development of drone and robotic systems.
