Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for January delivery lost 86 cents, or 1.47 percent, to settle at 57.6 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for February delivery dropped 93 cents, or 1.49 percent, to settle at 61.28 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
