Winter storm sweeps Germany, killing four, disrupting travel

BERLIN, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Germany's first major winter storm of the season left at least four people dead and many others injured on Monday, as snow and icy roads caused widespread accidents and travel disruptions.

In the southern state of Bavaria, three people were killed in a collision involving two trucks and a car, where police reported extremely slippery road conditions. Two others were critically injured, and several more suffered moderate injuries.
