U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Tuesday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.15 percent to 99.443 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1590 dollars from 1.1561 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was down to 1.3172 dollars from 1.3180 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 154.09 Japanese yen, higher than 154.07 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar slipped to 0.8001 Swiss francs from 0.8048 Swiss francs, and it was down to 1.4009 Canadian dollars from 1.4017 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar fell to 9.4514 Swedish kronor from 9.5075 Swedish kronor.
