U.S. dollar ticks down


NEW YORK, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.13 percent to 99.605 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1567 dollars from 1.1544 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound added to 1.3166 dollars from 1.3132 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 153.34 Japanese yen, higher than 153.14 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.8050 Swiss francs from 0.8066 Swiss francs, and it slipped to 1.4044 Canadian dollars from 1.4113 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar was down to 9.5292 Swedish kronor from 9.5682 Swedish kronor.
