WARSAW, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Poland's leading energy company Orlen S.A. has signed an agreement with Ukraine's Naftogaz Group for future supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) sourced from the United States, the Polish Press Agency (PAP) reported Friday.

The deal, reached in Athens during a conference organized by the Atlantic Council, provides for the delivery of more than 300 million cubic meters of LNG in the first quarter of 2026.

Under the agreement, Orlen will import the gas to one of its terminals, regasify it, and deliver it to Ukraine via pipeline.

According to Orlen, with previous deliveries of over 600 million cubic meters in 2025, total gas supplies to Ukraine through the company could reach around 1 billion cubic meters.
