Hanoi welcomes over 28.2 mln visitors in first 10 months of 2025


HANOI, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi, welcomed over 28.2 million visitors in the first ten months of 2025, surpassing the total of 27.8 million arrivals recorded in the whole year of 2024, local media outlet VNExpress reported Monday, citing the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

During the period, international arrivals reached nearly 6.2 million, while total tourism revenue was estimated at 110 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 4.22 billion U.S. dollars), up 22 percent and 20 percent respectively compared with the same period last year, the report said.

Hanoi has set a target of welcoming about 31 million visitors in 2025, including 7.5 million international arrivals.

The country aims to attract 25 million foreign tourists and 130 million domestic travelers this year, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
