Chinese shares open higher Monday


BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.48 percent to open at 3,969.22 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 1.20 percent higher at 13,448.92 points.
