Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for November delivery went up 40 cents, or 0.66 percent, to settle at 60.88 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for December delivery added 42 cents, or 0.66 percent, to settle at 64.53 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
