MINSK, Sept. 30 (Xinhua) -- Belarus sees the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as serious players in creating a just multipolar world order, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Tuesday.

During a meeting with heads of governmental delegations participating in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the CIS Council of Heads of Government in Minsk, Lukashenko emphasized that the global majority seeks cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect, without dictates, threats, illegal restrictions and coercion.

"Essentially, the EAEU and the CIS have formed a multi-level mechanism for regional cooperation aimed at aligning integration processes," Lukashenko said.

He urged the CIS to establish itself as a reputable and influential organization to promote equitable relations in political and humanitarian spheres.

He also called on the EAEU to serve as a model for building robust economic ties based on the principles of openness and mutual benefit.

Lukashenko said that Belarus will continue to actively support strengthening partnerships and advancing integration in all forms among member states.
