Int'l industrial exhibition "INNOPROM. Belarus" opens in Minsk


MINSK, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The "INNOPROM. Belarus" International Industrial Exhibition opened in Minsk on Monday, marking the first edition of this event in the Belarusian capital.

Organized with support from Belarusian and Russian ministries, the expo covers over 20,000 square meters, including outdoor space for large machinery demonstrations.

The exhibition focuses on key sectors including machinery and components, metallurgy and materials, chemical industry, industrial IT, production automation and industrial services.

Over 510 companies are participating in the expo, including more than 290 from 23 Russian regions, 190 from Belarus, and 30 firms from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

More than 20 activities are scheduled to take place during the expo. It is anticipated that around 10,000 visitors from 22 countries will attend the international expo, which will last till Oct. 1.
