U.S. dollar ticks down

NEW YORK, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Thursday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.26 percent to 97.529 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).
