Around 30 injured in traffic accident in Greek port city


ATHENS, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- About 30 people were injured Wednesday evening when a city bus collided with a tram in the port city of Piraeus, near Athens, local media reported.

The accident took place near the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, when a tram struck the bus as it was stopped at a designated stop, according to the Greek daily To Vima.

Most of the injured sustained minor injuries and were transferred to hospitals in Athens, officials said.

The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
