World women entrepreneurs forum opens in Mongolia's capital

ULAN BATOR, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- The World Women Entrepreneurs Forum kicked off here on Monday, focusing on new gateways to support gender-based economies at the policy level, strengthen cooperation, cross-border partnerships and investment opportunities.

Under the auspices of Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh, the forum was co-organized by Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce.

"Financial support and investment in women's businesses not only helps them grow their businesses but also improves the livelihoods of families and local communities, expands and develops international trade and economic cooperation. Moreover, it plays a significant role in achieving sustainable development goals," Khurelsukh said at the opening ceremony.

During the two-day event, the attendees were expected to discuss topics such as fostering women's entrepreneurial leadership, and digital transformation and innovation in women's businesses.
