(Reuters) -The Russia-installed governor of occupied areas of Ukraine's Donetsk region said on Thursday that a Ukrainian combined missile and drone attack killed two people and injured 21 in the industrial city of Yenakiyeve.

Denis Pushilin, writing on the Telegram messaging app, said the attack occurred at rush hour in the city in Donetsk region. Several residential buildings were damaged in Yenakiyeve and the nearby city of Horlivka.

There was no comment on Pushilin's report from Ukraine, and Reuters could not independently confirm the account.

Donetsk is one of four regions that Russia annexed in 2022, about seven months after invading its smaller neighbour. Its forces control about 70% of the Donetsk region.
