Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery slipped 1.07 U.S. dollars, or 1.69 percent, to settle at 62.35 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery dropped 81 cents, or 1.22 percent, to settle at 65.79 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
